Stroll through participating downtown businesses, collect stickers on your game card, enjoy festive treats and specials, and experience the charm of shopping local during one of Main Street’s favorite holiday traditions. Participants who complete their game card will be entered for chances to win raffle prizes featuring gift cards donated by local businesses. Gather your friends, shop small, and celebrate the start of the holiday season while supporting the local businesses that make our community unique.

Designed for children ages 3–8, this festive holiday event invites families to visit participating downtown businesses while collecting fun reindeer-themed surprises, activities, and treats along the way. Each childs ticket includes a special event tote to carry their goodies throughout the afternoon. The Reindeer Ramble is a fun and family-friendly way to experience the magic of Main Street during the holiday season while creating lasting Christmas memories together.

Our History
The Roots of Festus’ Vibrant Community
The story of Festus is deeply intertwined with the industrial growth of the region. What began in the 1800s as a small community evolved into a thriving town. Early developments were fueled by the discovery of valuable natural resources in the area, including rich deposits of silica sand. This attracted companies like the American Glass Company, which set the foundation for neighboring towns to grow, including what later became Crystal City.
Today, the focus of The Festus Main Street Association is to honor the unique spirit and history of Festus. As our community grows, we’re dedicated to supporting local businesses, preserving our heritage, and bringing people together through vibrant events and initiatives—building a future rooted in pride and progress.
